Associate Vice President of New Ventures
Department: Direct Marketing
Reports To: VP, Direct Marketing
Purpose of Position: To identify, solicit, secure, manage, develop and oversee new fundraising initiatives and revenue generating opportunities for Covenant House.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior team (VP and AVP's) to raise $60MM+ annually through Direct Radio channels (mail, phone, and online).
- Create, develop and oversee Internet fundraising and marketing efforts to include the management and maintenance of the monthly e-fundraising campaigns and e-newsletters.
- Increase CH's e-philanthropy revenues from $700,000/yr in Fiscal 2007 to $2.5MM in Fiscal 2010.
- Position CH in world of Web 2.0. Manage audience interaction.
- Conduct analysis and make recommendations for the Internet fundraising efforts and campaigns.
- Identify, pursue, and manage various affinity marketing opportunities.
- Plan, develop, and manage all non-traditional (mail/phone) alternative distribution and fundraising activities.
- Generate other marketing opportunities. This includes but is not limited marketing concepts such as insurance programs, telemarketing, direct radio space ads, free standing inserts, etc.
- Proactively communicate with other staff members and programs to identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by VP.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Eight (8) or more years experience in developing and managing fundraising programs.
- Marketing background with understanding of generational characteristics and differences.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Sound judgment skills in evaluating potential business opportunities.
- Ability to work well with others while managing multiple programs at once. Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to handle oneself in various professional environments.
