Sister Patricia A. Cruise, affectionately known as "Sister Tricia" to her colleagues and the thousands of children she has served, is the President and
CEO of Covenant House, the largest privately funded nonprofit agency in North and Central America. Sister Tricia assumed leadership of the organization in September 2003 following her election by the Covenant House corporate board of directors in May 2003.
A member of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Sister Tricia is responsible for the overall management and long-term strategic planning of Covenant House, which includes 21 sites in six countries as well as the corporate headquarters in New York City. As the leader of an international non-profit organization, Sister Tricia is responsible not only for the business and administrative aspects of the agency, but also for sustaining and nurturing the commitment of those who work and volunteer for Covenant House throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America. She also is a role model and source of encouragement for the many young people who pass through the doors of Covenant House facilities.

She began her career in service to children as an elementary school teacher at Mount St. Joseph School in Cincinnati before moving on to become the Director of Campus Ministry/Student Activities at the College of Mount St. Joseph, where she also worked as an adjunct faculty member teaching Church History, Ecclesiology and Theology of Feminism.
Sister has served on the boards of directors of Saint Joseph's Home of Cincinnati, the Corporation Board -- Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, and the St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
