BE A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL -- JOIN OUR HOME TEAM TODAY

Registration is now closed for the first ever New York City Spring Half Marathon on March 21.

Closed to everyone but you.

If you join the Covenant House Home Team today, you can still be part of a spectacular, historic run through the streets of New York.  It will be a day you will never forget.

Here are the requirements:

-- You must be willing to keep that New Year's resolution ... you know, the one about getting in shape and taking better care of yourself.

-- You must have the desire to join with others on a beautiful spring day to renew your spirit and make new friends.

-- You must like the idea of running not only for yourself, but on behalf of those who have no voice of their own -- homeless kids.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A WORLD CLASS RUNNER ... The New York City Half Marathon is 13 miles.  If you can run one or two miles today, with some training you CAN do the half-marathon by March 21.  Our Home Team members will help you do it!

Here are just some of the benefits of Covenant House Home Team Membership:

-- Guaranteed entry in the NYC Half Marathon 2010

-- Race day t-shirt

-- Team get-together two days before the race

-- Fundraising assistance and tips from Home Team members to reach the $1,000 fundraising goal for each Home Team runner

-- Individual website to track your fundraising progress

-- The chance to be a part of NYC history -- first ever Spring half marathon!

-- And the chance to bring desperately needed funds, friendship and hope into the lives of the homeless kids at Covenant House.

"At times I kept running because I didn't want to let myself down.  Other times I kept running because I didn't want to let the kids at Covenant House down.  And at times I kept running because I didn't want to let the Home Team down.  All through the run I was reminded once again -- in a deep and touching way -- that the journey is easier and more joyous when it is shared."
