Search your neighborhood

1. THOROUGHLY SEARCH THE HOUSE OR APARTMENT AND SURROUNDING AREA. If you live in an apartment, ask a building employee to help look in unfamiliar, inaccessible, or locked areas including the basement, roof, laundry room, boiler room, garage, etc.

2. ALERT THE NEIGHBORS OR TENANTS in your building by posting notices in elevators, hallways, or slipping them under doors.

3. ALERT PEOPLE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD such as store owners, mail carriers, door attendants, etc. MAKE COPIES OF YOUR CHILD'S PHOTOGRAPH AND/OR DESCRIPTION similar to that in the Missing Person's Report. Choose a photograph that is recent and realistic. Post fliers on store windows, lampposts, and give them to local businesses, etc.

4. SEARCH HANGOUTS AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES where youth often go. Leave fliers.
