Homeless kids need more than shelter. They need education, counseling, support, and love.
Crisis Counseling, Transitional Housing, Job Training, and More
A hearty meal... a fresh set of clothes... a warm, safe place to sleep....
We'll offer these basic necessities to any homeless kid who knocks on our door tonight - with no questions asked and no strings attached.
Once a young person arrives on the Covenant House doorstep, we offer unconditional love - and do our best to meet their every need, whether it's just providing a bed and a blanket, or coordinating long-term placement in one of our many programs.
The relationships our staff develop with homeless kids often start with a call to our Crisis Hotline or a meeting with a Street Outreach counselor.
We provide immediate Crisis Care, which can lead to involvement in one or more of our other programs, such as Rights of Passage, Mother/Child Services, Healthcare Services, Pastoral Ministry, Job Training, and Educational Services.
Our goal is to build a plan for the future of every Covenant House resident. The day-to-day work is difficult, and sometimes the effort results in the heartache of losing a kid back to the streets.
But, more often than not, we're fortunate to witness the rebirth of a young life that too many had long ago left for dead.
