Accenture is a special partner of Covenant House, serving youth across our network to help guide them on their paths of obtaining and retaining jobs and growing in their employment. Starting in 2015, and as part of Accenture’s Skills to Succeed initiative, Accenture has assisted Covenant House in developing and rolling out an enhanced job readiness curriculum with 10 Covenant House sites across the United States. They have also created and implemented a standardized foundational online and classroom training curriculum and an employer partnership strategy which includes detailed market trend analysis and recommendations around top employers.
Additionally, Accenture and Covenant House are piloting Retail Training Basics, a program which comes with an industry recognized credential, and MyBestBets, an online career navigational tool to help Covenant House youth identify their “best bet” in terms of educational programs they should pursue to achieve their long-term career goals. To date, 1,500 Covenant House youth have been reached, 927 have gained skills, and 680 have obtained employment through the support of Accenture.
Accenture people don’t stop with classroom support; they even take to the streets to help our kids! To date, 34 Accenture leaders have participated in the Sleep Out in several cities raising awareness and critical funds to help Covenant House. We are grateful to Accenture for exemplifying the value that corporate partners bring to the table in changing the lives of our youth.
