Covenant House New York ROP Bronx Opening!
Covenant House New York’s first Rights of Passage Bronx Site at Fteley Avenue has opened! The first 20 residents moved into their brand new space on June 6, 2019!"Today was one of the very good days: we [Covenant House NY] opened the first of several new sites for our young adult clients. Happy smiles were everywhere! Thanks to designer extraordinaire, Amy Courtney, and the Homepolish team. Kudos to many colleagues who worked so hard to make it happen," says Leslie Abbey, Covenant House New York’s Chief Operating Officer.
Rights of Passage (ROP) is a transitional, independent living program operating 24hrs/day, 7 days/week. In ROP, runaway youth and youth facing homelessness have access to rich and integrated continuum of support services. We help youth develop the tools and skills to sustain their independence, providing comprehensive financial literacy programs that help them take their first step toward obtaining a bank account and building credit. We help young people fill in their education, life skills, and job readiness gaps.
