In it Together

Last year the COVID-19 pandemic hit us all hard, but we held together and fought back. At Covenant House, that’s what our young people do every day to overcome the trauma of homelessness. They stand up, stand strong, and fight back with grit and grace, determined to build the life they dream of. They know how important it is to stand together to vanquish darkness. The pandemic made that clear to all of us: We have to work together to draw a new day from dark night. Throughout the pandemic, with the help of supporters like you, Covenant House remained open 24/7. Your support helped us create and equip nearly 500 isolation spaces for symptomatic youth, increase our meal production by 75%, and ensure around-the-clock presence and care by our dedicated staff. Because you stood with us, we’ve been able to keep youth safe, healthy, and well nourished, and we’ve never stopped loving unconditionally, respecting absolutely and supporting them relentlessly. We’ve supported our young people to stay engaged with school, prepare for work and career, and build up their physical and emotional health. We are still doing that today because the challenge is not over, and because you are standing with us.

The post-COVID dawn is breaking, but the new day is not yet here. We expect new challenges—you know that homelessness did not begin with COVID-19 and will not end with the widespread distribution of a vaccine. There is no vaccine against youth homelessness, and we expect youth homelessness to increase over the coming months and years, as eviction moratoriums run out and the economies across our 31 Covenant House cities struggle to return to health. Your 100% tax-deductible donation supports Covenant House’s high-quality programs and services, including food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, mental health care, education, job and career readiness, and more.

The youth at Covenant House are determined to rip through the darkness of the past year. When you support Covenant House with your donation, you help our young people do just that. You help them tear away the challenges and impediments of the past year and build renewed strength and energy to create the life they dream of and long for. We are confident that a new dawn is breaking and a new tomorrow is on its way. But it will take all of us to make it happen. Your gift, your support, your love, will ensure it.

STAND UP. STAND STRONG. TAKE ACTION.

WHAT IS THE EVENT ABOUT?

We’re celebrating the phenomenal growth and resilience of our youth despite the challenges they faced this past year! After facing down the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, our young people are ready—as are we all—to stand up, stand strong, and embrace a new day of possibility and opportunity! We’ve got a star-studded lineup of artists and advocates from Broadway, TV, film, and more! You won’t want to miss this joyous, fun-filled party with our talented youth and famous friends.
