Youth in Crisis Report Series
Youth in Crisis is an ongoing series of reports on the characteristics, needs, and outcomes of homeless youth served by Covenant House. The goal of these reports is to produce reliable, accurate, and up-to-date data that will enhance programming, influence public policy, and educate stakeholders.
This series is produced by the Covenant House Institute in partnership with the Center for Homelessness Prevention Studies (CHPS) at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. It is partially funded through the CHPS Scholars Program. We are thankful for the ongoing support of Kevin M. Ryan, Covenant House president and CEO; Bruce J. Henry, executive director of the Covenant House Institute; Dr. Carol Caton, director of the Center for Homelessness Prevention Studies at Columbia University, professor of clinical sociomedical sciences (in psychiatry), and a research scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute; Dr. Howard Andrews, director of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) at New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and co-director of the Research Information Services Consortium (RISC) at New York Presbyterian Medical Center; and Dr. Ron Thompson, assistant professor at the School of Social Work at Columbia University.
The National Picture of Youth Homelessness Report provides a portrait of youth served by Covenant House shelters across the United States.
