Meet the Young People You Support
By being an angel for homeless youth, you show young people they have someone who believes in them and cares for them. See the stories of just a few Covenant House youth who are being lifted up by your support on their journey home.

Meet Lyric
“I’m not homeless, I would say, because I’ve been staying at the Covenant House, and that feels like home. ” – Lyric
When Lyric was born, his mom was just 13 years old, struggling to care for a baby. As a result, Lyric experienced neglect and instability throughout his childhood. He eventually found ways to survive on the street, but he knew he needed help. Thankfully, Lyric found Covenant House. When he walked in, he felt immediately that he’d be supported and loved. He found people who could care for him how he needed to be.

Meet Marbin
“Before coming to Covenant House, I was losing hope. [But] my life has changed … I have a good job. I’m going to college. Covenant House is like basically a miracle. … I’ll say thank you so much to all the people that believe in us … . ” - Marbin
Marbin was working to get his high school diploma, but his job as a dishwasher at a kitchen didn’t pay enough to cover his rent. He was struggling, but thankfully, he called Covenant House before things got really bad. Despite it being late at night when Marbin arrived, he immediately was given a meal, a room, and a bed. It was the start of something that amazed him.

Meet Track
"Here I am now, I’ve flourished and bloomed. The plant deserves a second chance, and I do too." - Track
Track was 17 when he came to Covenant House with a notebook of his own poetry in his pocket and a seedling he was caring for in a plastic bag. Remarkably, Track had been tending to his plant, finding water and sunlight for it, the entire time he lived on the streets. At Covenant House, Track found a powerful life metaphor in the growth of his plant — and he found a way to share his light with others through his art.
