The youth we serve are resilient and incredibly capable. In this newsletter we offer you stories about young people who have overcome homelessness through their own hard work and the resources provided by our supporter community.

Winter 2025

In this holiday edition of Open Doors, you’ll read about Kendra and her son, Finn, who was born on Christmas. When her son entered this world, they were homeless and had no place to go. You'll also read about Adalaide, a brave and loving mother who found her daughter a safe place to stay on Christmas Eve.

Spring 2024

Read about Sophia, who overcame addiction and abuse to build a life she had always wished for. You'll also read Derrick's story. A young man who grew up in shelters, he is now a property manager creating a home for youth transitioning out of Covenant House.

Summer 2024

You'll read about some incredible young people you have helped. Young people who have become a voice for all youth experiencing homelessness and human trafficking.

Winter 2024

The Christmas season is always such a special time at Covenant House. In this newsletter, we'll share how your incredible support helps give young people a little extra love during the holidays, like it did for Makayla and April.

This is a yearly membership; renewal communications are sent January of each year. Members can renew at any time. Membership benefits are received once a supporter’s donation total is $1,000+ or at the time a recurring donation is established that will exceed the monetary threshold over the course of the year.

OAS Certificate of Recognition
As a member, you will receive your very own OAS Certificate of Recognition, which shows your commitment to our youth.

Dedicated Donor Care Representative:
You will be able to call or email a designated donor care representative who can help you make updates to your giving, talk over special opportunities, or answer any questions you have.

Members-only Events:
We love when our most faithful supporters get involved. As an OAS member, you will be invited to:

Exclusive Access:
Since you care so much about our youth, we want to keep you informed on what’s happening at our sites. Your OAS membership includes exclusive access to:

• OAS website hub where you can access all your benefits
   
• OAS survey campaign so we can learn what matters most to you
   
• OAS exclusive SMS content to share important timely updates
   
• OAS newsletter where you can read how your support makes an impact
   
• Sneak preview of impact and annual reporting so you can be the first to see how you have made a difference each year
   

All supporters who reach the $1,000 cumulative total over the course of a calendar year will automatically become an OAS member. Supporters who choose to give an automatic recurring gift of $84/month or more will immediately receive their membership at the time of their first gift. Any way you give will make a difference for our youth.

Recurring Gifts:

$84/month = When you commit to giving $84 or more a month, you can begin your OAS benefits immediately.

One-time Gifts:

$1,000 = A one-time gift of $1,000 or more will automatically enroll you as an OAS member and immediately allow you to access member benefits for the year.

Cumulative Gifts:

$1,000 cumulative = Every gift makes a difference for our youth. Once your giving level reaches the $1,000 threshold, you will receive your OAS certificate and begin receiving member benefits, which will be active for the remainder of the year.

On average 2,400 kids sleep in a Covenant House bed each night. Your donation is being used where it is needed most to support Covenant House’s mission of helping every young person in need. This includes housing, health care, outreach, education, therapy, and the vital work of our team members.

We work to ensure every dollar you donate to Covenant House serves our young people as efficiently as possible. Our international network of youth shelters in 34 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America provides the refuge and long-term support that youth facing abuse, homelessness, and trafficking need to heal.

We also have several special project needs available for support. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities and chances for donor recognition, please reach out to Yvonne.

You can get involved by participating in a Sleep Out event, volunteering at your local Covenant House site, showing your support for youth experiencing homelessness and trafficking at the polls, and spreading the news about Covenant House’s work to your friends and family on social media.

Become a member today to receive updates on the Open Arms Society through exclusive communications, Tele-Town Halls, your dedicated Covenant House representative, and the OAS website.
