This month, as part of Youth Homelessness ACTION Month, we’re lifting up a new storytelling series.
It’s told across five weeks—five true stories from across our federation—that together capture the arc of what Covenant House really means to our young people. Each week in November, we’ll spotlight one story on our channels, moving through five stages of a young person’s journey:
Intake. Support. Growth. Independence. Community.
It’s a story in five parts. But really, it’s one story—a single thread of courage, care, and transformation that connects every Covenant House.
In its first year of operation, the hydroponic farm and organic garden at CHGW have yielded over 4,000 pounds of fresh produce and sprouted new farm-to-table careers.
While our staff are experts in providing the crisis care, mental health, and case management services our youth desperately need, we rely on volunteers from the community to help us tackle some big projects that show our youth that they are cared for in so many ways, and by so many people.
Food is medicine, joy, and a source of resilience and hope at Covenant House Michigan and all of the 34 cities where Covenant House helps youth overcome homelessness and trafficking.
An urban garden takes root at Covenant House Greater Washington, promising fruits of all kinds, from year-round fresh produce to art therapy and career pathways.
