Covenant House Florida reaches youth in Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando via street outreach, crisis shelters, transitional housing projects, and aftercare, making Covenant House Florida one of the largest private agencies serving runaway and homeless youth in the state of Florida.
Our Shelter
CHF’s shelter in Fort Lauderdale provides safe haven for young people facing homelessness. Our shelter is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide youth with a nourishing meal, clean clothes, and a safe place to sleep, and offer them an array of services to help them either reunite with their families or develop the skills they need to live independently.
Our Programs
Young people in Fort Lauderdale can access our short-term emergency care through CHF’s street outreach, drop-in center, and emergency shelter. Youth also may participate in our transitional housing program, Rights of Passage, when they are ready to take this step toward independence.
