Covenant House Pennsylvania offers youth shelter and housing in York and Philadelphia. At our York site, we serve at-risk youth throughout the region, offering a safe, welcoming space and vital services.

Sanctuary Program: short-term, emergency shelter for youth 21 and under offering food, clothing, showers, a safe place to sleep, and access to support services and referrals.

Safety and Wellbeing
Covenant House Pennsylvania is a safe space for all youth. We prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the young people in our care. Our staff is trained to ensure LGBTQ+ youth and all young people, receive services regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
Programs and Services
Beyond shelter, we offer services and programs that help young people experiencing homelessness move towards brighter and independent futures.

Outreach & Drop-in Services: Young people can access short-term emergency care in York through our street outreach program, drop-in center, and emergency shelter (sanctuary).

Educational & Career Planning: Through direct support and referrals, we provide educational support and job training services.

Referral Services: Staff also provide referrals to local service providers for physical and mental health care, drug and alcohol counseling, and legal services.

Other Services: meals, showers and fresh clothes, trafficking survivor services, and case management.
Are There Any Costs for Shelter or Programs?
There are no fees or costs to access services or shelter at Covenant House Pennsylvania. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for homeless youth to become healthy, responsible, and independent adults.
